National Weather Service confirms tornado hit Chestertown, Warren County
The National Weather Service confirms a tornado hit Chestertown, Warren County on Tuesday.
The tornado was an EF0, which is the weakest kind of tornado on a scale of EF0 to EF5. However, it still packed winds of up to 85 miles per hour.
The tornado touched down at 5:22 p.m. and was on the ground for a quarter-mile, the National Weather Service said. It ran parallel to Route 28, dissipating before Potterbrook Road.
Several utility poles and trees were damaged.
