Sen. Jim Tedisco is announcing new legislation aimed at halting the transportation of migrants to upstate communities.
This comes in the wake of busloads of migrants being dropped off at the Super 8 Motel in Rotterdam last week.
Their arrival came as a surprise to many, which is a problem Tedisco is hoping to avoid in the future. With this new bill, he says he wants to empower local governments and help prevent the shuttling of migrants from New York City to upstate communities without proper communication.
