There’s a new push to slow cars down near ice cream trucks to keep kids safe this summer.
Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara has introduced a new bill which would require drivers to slow down to 15 miles per hour as they pass stopped ice cream trucks. That reduction is the same as the school zone speed limit.
The goal is to keep children safe, said Santabarbara, and make sure they can enjoy their ice cream without worrying about speeding cars.
