Improving access to fresh food is part of a new plan in Albany County.
County Executive Dan McCoy announced a new farmers market in Albany on Monday. It will be held in front of the MVP Arena on South Pearl Street.
The farmers market will take place on four Sundays – July 16, August 20, September 17 and October 12.
This will help people who struggle to get their hands on fresh produce, said McCoy.
The county also plans to highlight local artists and musicians during the farmers markets.
