A local business owner is in the process of opening Albany’s first vinyl listening lounge in a space that’s been vacant for nearly 20 years.
Nicholas Warchol, co-owner of the Larkin Hi-Fi on Lake Street, tells NewsChannel 13 that the process started months ago.
After jumping through some hoops, attending Albany Common Council meetings and easing concerns from neighbors, the Albany Planning Board approved the project last week.
Warchol also owns Herbie’s Burgers on Lark Street. The city of Albany spent millions of dollars last year to revitalize Lark Street, repaving roads, replacing sidewalks and completing many other necessary upgrades.
Learn about what Warchol’s hopes this new venture will add to the downtown landscape, by watching video of Caitlin Irla’s story.
