New York Attorney General Letitia James is suing Sirius XM radio. The company is accused of trapping consumers in subscriptions and maintaining long cancellation processes.
Sirius XM trains its agents to not take “no” for an answer when customers try to cancel, making it extremely difficult and frustrating for consumers to end their subscriptions, James said.
Through this lawsuit, James is seeking restitution and penalties for violating New York’s business laws.
She also wants Sirius XM to implement a simpler cancellation policy.
