New York State Labor Department releases preliminary 2022 unemployment rates

The New York State Labor Department released its preliminary 2022 area unemployment rates.

Throughout the state the unemployment rate has decreased since June of 2021 in metro areas.

The Capital Region – Albany, Schenectady, and Troy – has seen a decrease from 4.8 percent in June of last year, to three percent this year.
