A North Adams gymnastics coach is accused of having recordings from the bathroom of a gymnastics center.
Vermont State Police arrested Jonathan Girard.
Investigators got a report of a video that was recorded in the bathroom of a local gymnastics center, they said.
Police found Girard’s computer had the recordings on it, they said.
Troopers charged him with the crime of voyeurism, which is related to recording and watching indecent videos without a subject’s consent to be recorded. He will be arraigned later this week.
Girard owns and is the head coach of his own gymnastics business called J Star Gymnastics in North Adams, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle reported.
A search of the website on Tuesday showed the entire thing has been scrubbed, all pictures of coaches removed.
The recordings were of young people changing in and out of their leotards in the Vermont academy, the paper reported.
The paper also obtained the police affidavit, which says Girard’s fiancé of two and a half years is the one who discovered the alleged images and videos on his laptop.
