Nurses accused of stealing medication for personal use
Two nurses are accused of stealing medication from an Amsterdam nursing and rehabilitation facility.
Deidre R. Kim, 37, of Gloversville, and Jennifer S. Cenchitz, 53, of Hadley, are accused of altering patient medication records at the Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. They obtained those controlled substances for their own personal use, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
The investigation began in early December.
Both women are charged with falsifying business records, obtaining a controlled substance/prescription for controlled substance by fraud and petit larceny.
They turned themselves in on Friday, Jan. 10 and were released on appearance tickets. They are due in court at a later date.
