NXIVM cult leader Salzman in halfway house

Former NXIVM sex cult leader Nancy Salzman has been transferred to a halfway house, the Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed.

Salzman was placed at the Horizon Center in Albany on Sept. 7.

She was released from federal prison after serving less than 2 years of a 3 1/2-year sentence after pleading guilty in 2021 to racketeering conspiracy for her role in the cult.

Salzman is scheduled to be released on July 2, 2024, and then will reside in Waterford.
