NXIVM leader Nancy Salzman has been released early from a Pennsylvania halfway house.
She moved from a federal lockup to the facility last September.
Salzman pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy related to the cult.
She was originally sentenced to three and a half years behind bars, and served fewer than two years.
Salzman was supposed to be released this month, but was set free in mid-March.
Another former NXIVM leader, Keith Raniere, is serving a 120-year prison sentence. Raniere has claimed he was framed, but his attempts for a new trial have been denied.
Several other people in the case were also sentenced to prison.
