A months-long retail theft crackdown by New York State Police has led to the arrest of 359 people.
Since March 16, State Police have been partnering with different agencies to crack down on shoplifters.
Retail theft is growing problem that is having a big economic impact.
Authorities say during that time, they recovered more than $100,000 in stolen property.
In total, troopers responded to complaints at almost 500 businesses across New York.
Those arrested are facing a total of 571 separate charges.
