Beginning on Monday, New York State restaurant workers and supporters are pushing for a new law that would raise their wages.
According to activists, many restaurant workers have an hourly wage of $10.35 to $11 an hour.
Now, this new bill calls for increasing base pay and allowing workers to still take home their tips.
Workers are asking lawmakers to choose them or the restaurants in a campaign titled, “Which Side Are You On?”
