Pair face drug charges after Halfmoon traffic stop

Two people are facing drug charges after a traffic stop on Monday in Halfmoon.

State Police stopped a vehicle on Route 146 just after noon for a traffic violation. Troopers found felony-weight narcotics in the vehicle along with a glass smoking device containing drug residue, investigators said.

The driver, Shane M. Brown, 46, of Gansevoort, and his passenger, Abigail Henderson, 35, of Latham, were arrested.

Henderson had more narcotics on her, police said.

They were both charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

They were released on appearance tickets and are due in Halfmoon Town Court on Aug. 8.
