Person struck, killed by train in Schodack. The incident happened just before 9 a.m.

State Police are investigating after an Amtrak train hit and killed a person Friday morning.

Police responded just before 9 a.m. to the area of River Road in Schodack, and found a person dead.

Service between Hudson and Albany was delayed for about an hour around lunchtime Friday, said Amtrak, as some rails were closed in the area for the investigation.
