No one hurt after boat fires on Mohawk River

An investigation is underway after a fire at the Mohawk Valley Marina Tuesday night.
Glenn Craig, Alplaus Fire Chief, said the first boat caught fire at the marina, and the flames spread to other boats. He said there was word of an explosion, but that is still under investigation.
Craig said people were nearby when it happened, but no one was hurt.
The DEC was on scene to monitor the environmental impact. Craig said they’ll be back tomorrow to monitor the situation.
