Man charged with murder of Pittsfield man

Police have made an arrest in the murder of a Pittsfield man on Monday. Jeremy Stanton, 38, is accused of shooting and killing Ryan Babcock on Monday. The 38-year-old Babcock was found dead in a vehicle from gunshot wounds. Stanton was arrested on Wednesday in Hampshire County on unrelated outstanding warrants for a probation violation, assault with a dangerous weapon and vandalism stemming from a June 2 incident, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office.

Authorities did not provide a motive for the killing.
