A Pittsfield man was sentenced to 2 years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor.

Lochan Kissoon, 68, pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court on Tuesday to two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

The assault took place in June 2021 in his apartment, according to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.

The judge ordered that Kissoon not contact anyone under the age of 16 and register as a sex offender when released from prison.
