Police: Albany High student, 17, brought pellet gun to school
A 17-year-old student is arrested for allegedly having a pellet gun in his book bag.
A 17-year-old Albany High School student is accused of having a pellet gun on campus.
Albany Police responded to the school, after a staff member notified them that the gun was found in the student’s book bag during a routine security check when entering the school.
Staff detained the student and he was arrested by the school resource officer, according to police.
The teen’s name is not being released because of his age. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon upon school grounds.
He was released to a parental guardian and will appear in Albany City Criminal Court on a later date.
