A 21-year-old Albany man was arrested Tuesday after police said he led them on a chase and crashed into vehicles, including a CDTA bus.
The incident began after a Watervliet police officer spotted a vehicle with stolen license plates and tried to stop it. The vehicle initially pulled over, but then sped away and was driving recklessly.
The chase was stopped over safety concerns, but the car continued into Troy, police said. It then crashed into occupied vehicles, including a CDTA bus, and stopped at the intersection of Federal Street and 6th Avenue in Troy.
No one was injured, investigators said. The suspect faces multiple charges. Their name hasn’t been released.
