Police: Albany man had child pornography

An Albany man is accused of possessing child pornography.

Tyler J. Smith, 26, was arrested after a search of his home found images consistent with child exploitation, State Police said.

The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Smith was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Albany City Court on Nov. 16.
