Police: Albany man threated woman with knife, stole property

An Albany man is accused of threatening a woman with a knife and stealing from her.

Officers responded to a home on Morton Avenue near Grand Street around 4:20 p.m. for reports of a domestic incident. Nazir Ross, 28, is accused of forcibly stealing property from the woman and running away, police said.

Officers found him nearby on Delaware Avenue and he was arrested without incident.

Ross was charged with first-degree robbery, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny. He was arraigned Friday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and released under the supervision of probation with an electronic monitoring device.
