Police: Woman hurt after juvenile throws knife at her in Albany.

A 40-year-old Albany woman was hurt after police said a juvenile threw a knife at her. 

Albany Police officers responded to a report of an assault in the area of Manning Square and Clinton Avenue around 7:10 p.m. Officers learned that a group of juveniles came to the victim’s residence to fight with her juvenile son.

Police said one of the juveniles threw the knife and struck the woman in her upper back, police said.

The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center for further treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Police officers found two of the juveniles a little while later in the area of Manning Boulevard and Commerce Avenue.

The juveniles, ages 12 and 13, were each charged with second-degree attempted gang assault. Both were released to parental guardians and will appear at Albany County Probation Services on a later date.

Police are searching for other people involved.
