Police: Albany woman intentionally hit someone with car

An Albany woman is accused of hitting someone with a car on purpose.

Emoni Ellison, 23, hit the victim on Sunday evening near Jennings Drive and Rooney Road, Albany Police said. The victim’s leg was badly hurt.

Investigators think it stemmed from an earlier fight with several other people, they said.

Ellison was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident.

She was released on probation.
