Police: Amsterdam man sold drugs
An Amsterdam man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs.
Police searched the 56 Hibbard Street apartment of Jose J. Torres, 28, on Nov. 1. They found cocaine, hydrocodone pills and paraphernalia associated with the trafficking of narcotics, police said.
A warrant had been issued for Torres’ arrest after he sold drugs to undercover police officers during the investigation, police said.
Torres was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
He was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and released on his own recognizance.
