Police: Argyle woman was nearly 3x too drunk to drive

A 56-year-old Argyle woman is accused of driving while nearly three times the legal limit for intoxication.

State Police stopped Joanne M. Sharpe on Route 40 on Nov. 12 just before 10:15 a.m. Sharpe did not have a valid license, police said.

She recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.23%. The legal limit is 0.08.

Sharpe was charged with DWI and other traffic violations. She is due in Argyle Town Court on Dec. 12.
