Police: Cohoes man stole a dozen times from the same store
State Police have arrested a Cohoes man for allegedly stealing a dozen times from the same store.
James Frangipane, 37, allegedly took more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Brunswick store six times from Sept. 12 until Sept. 29 of this year. In addition, Frangipane is accused of stealing from the same store twice in October and three times in November. He allegedly got $540 worth of merchandise.
Police said Frangipane returned to steal from the store a 12th time on Dec. 9. Frangipane ran away from the scene, police said, but he was later arrested on Lord Avenue.
After a medical evaluation, Frangipane was processed at the State Police Brunswick station, where police found that he had an outstanding warrant.
Frangipane was arraigned in Brunswick Town Court on eleven counts of petit larceny as well as one count of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. He was sent to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
