Police confirm that ransom note in kidnapping asked for $50,000

NewsChannel 13 on Friday confirmed that the ransom note left in the mailbox of the 9-year-old girl abducted from Moreau Lake State Park asked for $50,000.

Craig N. Ross Jr. is currently being held without bail at Saratoga County Court. Law enforcement sources say they have not been able to confirm a familial relationship between Ross and Charles “Chuck Ross” the man accused of stalking in Saratoga Springs.

NewsChannel 13 is not including the child’s name or her image as she and her family try to heal from the ordeal.
