Police: Fonda man with kid in car was nearly 3x too drunk to drive

A Fonda man is accused of drunken driving with a child in the vehicle. 

State Police stopped Micah O. Burch, 37, on Route 5 in Amsterdam for traffic violations. Burch allegedly gave a fake name. A child under the age of 16 was in the vehicle, police said.

Burch’s blood alcohol level was 0.22% police said. The legal limit is 0.08%. He was charged with aggravated DWI, criminal personation and traffic violations. He has a previous DWI conviction within the last 10 years.

Burch was issued tickets and due in Amsterdam Town Court on Feb. 6. He was turned over to the Gloversville Police Department on an outstanding warrant.
