Police: Green Tech High student brought gun to school
Youth, 15, accused of bringing gun to Green Tech High
A 15-year-old Green Tech High Charter School student was arrested on Tuesday after he brought a gun to school, police said.
Albany Police were called to the school just before 4 p.m. for reports of a person with a weapon. Officers spoke with the student and took him into custody without incident.
No one was injured and there was no threat made or plan for violence during the initial investigation, police said.
The 15-year-old, whose name was not released because of his age, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned Tuesday and sent to the Albany County Juvenile Secure Facility, pending a court appearance.
