Police: Greene County woman had 13 emaciated horses
A Greene County woman is accused of not properly caring for 13 horses in her care.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint of Peruvian Paso horses that appeared to be emaciated at a property on Kirwin Road in the town of Cairo.
Investigators examined 15 horses and found 13 to be in poor condition.
After an investigation, police charged Skylar Nolan, 25, with one count of animal cruelty-failure to provide proper sustenance.
Nolan was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Cairo Town court at a later date.
More arrests are possible, investigators said.
