Police: Homeless man assaulted Saratoga County corrections officer
A homeless man is accused of assaulting a corrections officer at Saratoga County Jail.
John A. Rathbun, 36, allegedly punched the officer in the face and bit him. The alleged incident took place on May 22 just before 5 p.m., according to the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office.

Rathbun was charged with second-degree assault. He was arraigned in Milton Town Court on Monday and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail or bond.
The officer was treated at a health care facility and released.
