Albany Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night on Whitehall Road.

Police were notified around 9:15 p.m. by Albany Medical Center that a 34-year-old man entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot.

The victim told police that while the man was outside in the rear yard of a residence in the area of Whitehall Road and Kate Street, he was shot in the foot.

Authorities say the victim was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
