Pittsfield Police are investigating a suspected homicide that occurred Tuesday afternoon, June 11.

Police responded to the 500 block of Fenn Street for a report of a man that may have been shot. An officer found an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe this was not a random act and there is no immediate danger to the public. However, since a suspect has not been identified, law enforcement encourages people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
