Police: Malta man fell asleep, crashed car in Bennington County

A Malta man had minor injures after falling asleep and crashing his car in Woodford, Bennington County, according to police.

Michael Prosser, 34, was traveling on Route 9 near Erbs Way, when his car left the road and hit and damaged a garage, according to Vermont State Police.

Route 9 was shut down while the vehicle was removed, and Green Mountain Power worked on the power lines.

Prosser was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with minor injuries.
