Police: Pittsfield man stabbed father in domestic incident
A Pittsfield man is accused of stabbing his father during an argument at their home.
It happened on Monday around 2 a.m. at the residence on East Housatonic Street. Our media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report that Joshua Lampro Jr. was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Lampro’s bail was revoked from an arrest a few weeks ago involving another fight with his father.
The father was stabbed five times in the legs, buttocks and ribcage, the paper reported.
Lampro told police he stabbed his father in self-defense. He said that he went to his bedroom to get away from his father. At that point, Lambro said his dad forced his way inside the room, hit him with foam swords and grabbed a wooden stick with nails protruding from it and swung at him twice, the paper reported.
Lampro is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 4.
