Police: Pittsfield woman threatened with large knife during home invasion

A Pittsfield home invasion is under investigation.

Police got a report Sunday evening for a man holding a woman hostage at gunpoint in the 400 block of Tyler Street.

A man broke into a home and threatened one of the residents with a large knife, police said.

Investigators saw the suspect running away from the home, they said, and arrested him.

Jada Lopez, 21, now faces home invasion charges.

Police don’t think it was random, they said, and don’t believe there is a threat to the public.
