Police to crack down on impaired, distracted driving over July 4 holiday
State Police cracking down on impaired driving with extra patrols through Sunday.
State Police will be cracking down on drunk and drugged driving over the Fourth of July holiday.
The special enforcement period began at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will continue through Sunday. There will be sobriety checkpoints and DWI patrols.
Troopers will also be on the lookout for motorists who are using their phones or other electronic devices.
Drivers should also remember to “move over” for stopped emergency and hazard vehicles.
