Police: Troy man had ‘ghost gun’
A 41-year-old Troy man was arrested Monday for allegedly possessing a “ghost gun,” or a gun that’s not registered.
Troy Police were conducting an investigation in the area of 3rd Street and Liberty Street around 9 p.m. A suspect, identified as Zach Zeoli, fled on a bicycle and was captured a short distance away on Madison Street, police said.
Police found an illegal loaded 9 mm firearm with no serial number. It was a privately made weapon, police said, and was in a fanny pack on Zeoli’s waist.
Zeoli was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
He was arraigned in Troy City Court and sent to Rensselaer County Jail.
