Police: Two adults, two teens shoplifted from Target, Kohl’s

Two adults from Albany and two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the Target and Kohl’s last month.

Troopers responded to the Target just before 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 for a report of a theft in progress. The suspects left in a vehicle before police arrived.

State Police found the vehicle in the Kohl’s parking lot. Lavannah M. Morales, 20, of Albany, and a 15-year-old and 16-year-old had the stolen items, police said.

Police said Morales and the teens entered the Target store and worked together to steal more than $400 worth of merchandise. They then traveled to Kohls and stole over $1,000 worth of merchandise.

Ketia J. Louis, 43, of Albany, allegedly knew about the ongoing crime. She was picked up nearby in the area. 

Morales was charged with grand larceny, three counts of conspiracy and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and petit larceny. Louis was charged with grand larceny, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child.

They were issued appearance tickets and due in Clifton Park Town court on march 19. Louis was turned over to Colonie Police on an unrelated warrant.

The two teens are due to appear in Saratoga County Family Court at a later date. They were released to their guardians.
