Bennington County man accused of driving while impaired
Bennington County man accused of driving while impaired
A Vermont man is accused of driving under the influence of drugs and crashing in Bennington County.
The crash happened just after 4 p.m. in the town of Rupert on Monday. Jeremey M. Cary, of Wells, was driving his 2008 Ford F350 on Route 30 near Danforth Drive, when he failed to stay in his lane. He drove outside the northbound fog line and crashed into a power pole, Vermont State Police said.
Cary’s vehicle was totaled. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
Troopers observed signs of impairment, police said. He was arrested and released to a sober party.
