Protests in the Berkshires as part of nationwide Hands Off protests
In the Berkshires – our media partners at The Berkshire Eagle say Saturday’s protest was one of the biggest turnouts some residents have ever seen.
Organizers say its peak was about 2,000 people.
Residents also gathered in Adams, Williamstown, Great Barrington, West Stockbridge, and Stockbridge on Saturday as part of the protests.
They voiced concerns about potential cuts to higher education funding, immigration policy changes, elimination of diversity programs and what several described as “a troubling move toward authoritarianism.”
