Queensbury house fire remains under investigation
A Queensbury house fire remains under investigation.
A two-story, single-family home located at 4 Kendrick Rd. in Queensbury caught fire around 1:37 p.m. Sunday. That’s when the neighbor across the street reported it to authorities.
The fire was quickly contained in about 20 minutes, but was very destructive, Queensbury Central Fire Chief Joe Duprey said.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries to any people, but the family dog died in the fire, Duprey said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the point of origin is still unknown.
The house is currently uninhabitable.
The American Red Cross provided financial assistance such as food, clothing, and shelter to the family.
Volunteers also offered emotional support and health services to the homeowners.
