The looming Real ID deadline – already delayed twice – is getting another major push back.
Americans are getting an additional 24 months to become compliant.
That means if you don’t have a Real ID yet, you have more time to get one.
This is the driver’s license that allows you to fly. The new deadline now is May 7, 2025.
The deadline has been delayed several times.
The pandemic has significantly impacted the ability for states across the country to issue Real ID-compliant driver’s licenses and identification cards.
