Remains found in Knox identified as missing Albany man
Police have identified the human remains found in Knox as an Albany man missing since last October.
The remains were found in the area of Villeneuve Drive around 7:45 p.m. on July 21 by a person walking in the woods. They were located at the bottom of steep terrain, State Police said.

The remains were identified as 35-year-old Anthony Moretti, who last had contact with his family in October 2023.
Based on the condition of his body, investigators believe he had been there since fall.
The cause of death is under investigation, police do not believe it is suspicious.
