A Rensselaer man is facing child pornography charges.

Sean Hood, 49, is accused of having and promoting images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
He was arrested Wednesday after police searched his home.

The arrest came after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, investigators said.
