Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is talking to close friends and family this week, as his team eyes Sunday for an official mayoral campaign launch.

This is according to sources familiar with the matter.

The sources said Cuomo is in the final stages of setting up a run in New York City, and a formal announcement is expected as soon as this weekend.

The former governor resigned from office in 2021 amid allegations of sexual harassment, which he has repeatedly denied.

A Cuomo spokesperson declined to comment.
