Report raises questions about team behind proposed Moreau fertilizer plant

Questions are being raised about the team behind a controversial plan to build a high-tech fertilizer plant in Moreau.

An investigative report by NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star revealed two of the executives with Saratoga Biochar Solutions were previously with companies that engendered environmental concerns. The two executives categorized their previous work as “learning experiences.”

Moreau town officials have approved the plan to build the Biochar facility. However, it still faces legal opposition from local activists.
