The bulk of the money was spent to pay firefighters’ regular salaries and overtime, according to The Berkshire Eagle.
More than $4,000 was spent on various equipment needs.
The paper also reports that the state might reimburse the town for some of the firefighting costs.
The cause of the fire is not known.
