Residents in Stow Avenue area of Troy asked to boil water due to break

A boil water advisory is in effect for the Stow Avenue area part of Troy because of a water main break.

About 30 homes are affected. They include the bottom of Stow Avenue, St. Michael’s Avenue, Elm Street, High Street and Forbes Avenue.

People should boil water for one minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and making ice.

Residents may be affected for about 48 hours.
